Albert James Cann

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert "Ace" James Cann beloved husband of the late Winifred Cann, loving son of Christabell and the late Henry Cann, loving father of McCoy Minors (Sherrie), Alan Symons (Jennette) and Sean Symons (Cheryl); brother of the late Rose-Marie Foss, Adelia, Willis and Daniel Cann, in his 69th year, of Runway Lane, Boaz Island, Sandys. A service celebrating his life will be held at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church on Wednesday, February 18th, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. James''˜ Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at the Church from 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be sent to the Beresford Swan Dialysis Unit, c/o K.E.M.H., P.O. Box HM 1023, Hamilton HM DX. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Zahkari, Zahkoiyah, Asha and Alshaunte; sisters Joan Scott and Frances Stearns (Jo) of California; brothers David (Bretha) and Braxton Cann of Arizona; brothers-in-law Howard and Robert Symons; sisters-in-law Beverley Cann, Janet Williams and Lois Jacobs; aunts Geraldine Bassett and Barbara Symonds of Ohio and Dorothea Horton; godchildren Terry "TL" Smith, Desnell Davis, Shelley Riley and Carla Lambert; special friends Bernard Woods and Carlton Lambert, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members too numerous to mention.
