C. V. ANNETTE IRIS

We regret to announce the passing of C V ANNETTE IRIS, beloved wife of Alfred Iris and daughter of the late Edwin (Jimmy) Lightbourne (Helen) and the late Elsie Doreen Simmons, in her 78th year, of 1 Sea ExpressLane, Southampton SB 02.She was also predeceased by her sisters Eleanor (Chum) Lightbourne and Manila Bryan (Robert), brothers Edwin (Man) Lightbourne (Patricia) and Stephen Deroza-Simmons, also the late Rochelle, Alfreda, Hilgrove and Earl Iris (Jennifer).She leaves to be dearly remembered by her children Philip Simmons (Thelma), Mark Iris (Samantha), and Marvella Burt (Randall); sisters Dr. Judith Bartley, Dolores Kiernan, Doreen Lewis Simmons (Francis) and Cheryl Lightbourne; brothers Elmer Simmons, John Deroza-Simmons and Llewelyn Simmons (Lyriss); also remembered by Caroline Barrow and John Iris; also nieces, nephews, numerous other dear relatives and friends too numerous to mention. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at 1.00pm at Devonshire Seventh-day Adventist Church, 62 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire, followed by interment at St. Anne's Cemetery, South Road, Southampton.
