Dear Mrs. Vallis and family, please accept our sincere condolences. It was a great honor to work under Mr. Vallis. He was a great role model and friend during my career at Shell. He helped to shape the man that I've become. I am eternally grateful to him. God bless you all, Leroy Richardson and family.

Very sad to hear of Jimmy's passing.
He was a special person and very influential in my life from when I started with Shell Bermuda in 1952 until I moved to NZ in 1970.
As Shell Bermuda was a small company there was more of a family environment and we got to know each other well.
He encouraged me to play golf and on a number of occasions we played at RBGC.Roberts first set of clubs are still in my garage and I hope my 5 year old grandson Tom will use them in a year or two.
He lived by the RAF credo-
