Amis Memorial Chapel sadly regrets to announce the passing of CARLTON GILBERT SMITH, "Birdman", "Bird" and "Smitty", in his 76th year of Plainfield, New Jersey; formerly of Scenic Heights, Southampton.Carlton is the son of the late Vivian and Joesph Smith; devoted husband of Peggy Smith; loving father to both Carlton Jr (Renee) and Nateisha Smith; adoring grandfather to Destiny and Chyna Smith; adoring great-grandfather to Chloe Darrell and Nuriah Anglin; brother to Brenda Gilbert, Ross Smith (Jane), Joesph "Joe" Smith (Yvonne), Sharon Stowe (Bopsy), Judy Ible, Albert "Junior" Smith (Janet "Pinky"), Maxine Smith, Debria Whittle, Milton and Malcolm Smith; the late Calvin Smith; mother of the children Jennifer L Smith; special sisters-in-law Madge White, Angelia Todd and Cheryl Pyles; special brothers-in-law Cal Dill and the late Richard Todd; brothers-in-law Darryl and Gregory Pyles; sister-in-law Anna Belin Pyles; devoted godfather to Sonia Waldron, Craig Darrell, Kionne Minors, Meiko White and Dalji Waldron; special great nephew Jalon Smith; special friends Lauvern Mallory, Vickie Eze-Hunter, Rosalind Williams-Scott, June Durham, Marguerite Smith, Sonya Gibbons, Mr and Mrs Eugene Woods, Gregory Jacobs and family, The Smith family, The Mallory Family, The Rawlins Family, Elsworth Lambert and family, Kirk Peets and family, The Casey's Lounge family and The Labor Day Club. Carlton was fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous extended family and friends, both in Bermuda and overseas.The Funeral service for Carlton Gilbert Smith will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 2.00pm at St Mary's Anglican Church, Middle Road, Warwick. Interment will follow the service in St Mary's Church Cemetery.The family and friend's visitation will be held this evening, Wednesday, 16th October 2024 from 6.00 to 7.30pm at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick.You may join the service via: www.youtube.com/jrocbda AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory
