To Tariq, Zylah, family and friends, my heartfelt condolences to you all. My memories go back to meeting Ceola on Horseshoe beach, I did not know who she was but her personality was amazing. She loved her son deeply, and she always remembered to ask about mine. I am so happy to see her updates of her beautiful granddaughter, it is beautiful to know she had that. She will forever be a hero of Bermuda with all of her many accomplishments. Gone too soon, Ceola. God bless to everyone who feels her loss.

My first year out of Broadcasting school, Ceola hired me at VSB. She told me that I'm young, black and female; therefore I'm at the bottom of the totem poll. She took me under her wing and I even followed her to ZBM.

Thank you so much for taking a chance on me Ceo. I'm a better woman for it today.

Going to miss our bus rides and quick catch up sessions.

...Love you too

Sincere condolences to family and friends. Zylah, you were the apple of her eye. Ceola was one of a kind, fondly remember working with Ceola at BBC and VSB. Journalism has lost a mighty voice in Bermuda. S.I.P.

To Ceola's entire family, we send our sincere condolences. This has been so hard to believe she is gone. What a beautiful woman who took pride in her reporting and fought hard to show the true light on issues no matter what. Her Co-workers could attest to that. A true Bermudian Icon in the reporting world. She was a courageous, no nonsense reporter and would take on anyone. Her heart was full with Tariq and her grand daughter who she shared with us on line watching her grow Ceola was overjoyed. This condolence is so sad and hard because Ceola is gone too soon and she still had so much to share. Her strength she gathered from her Mother who also
fought hard for her family.
We can only send prayers and know she rests in peace, for a life well fought.
GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Robert, Mary, Melissa, Derek Lindo

I celebrate the life and passing of a Bermuda icon. Ceola was a rarity, a straight shooter who didn't pull punches. She was honest, sometime brutally so. If she had an issue with you, she told you to your face. She wasn't a back biter.
I can't say we were tight friends, I was a decade older after all, but we held respect for each other. She supported my work with women and the addicted and I admired her courage and her fierce determination to speak truth in her profession.
Her passing is Bermuda's loss.
May her turbulent spirit now rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to her son, and to her family and friends. She will be missed

My deepest condolences to Ceola's family! I met her in the early 90's, when I went to Bucky's car paint shop for repairs. She was a very friendly person with a beautiful smile and personality to go with it! Hearing her on air made my day better and go faster! I have lovely memories of conversations with her and Bucky's wife Malika! May she rest in the arms of Jesus until we all meet her again! Until then we have our memories! Blessings and Prayers...
