My deepest condolences and prayers to Mrs. Hollis Hallett Family. She had a great life and was my first volunteer as unit clerk on Somers Ward at the then St. Brendan's in the 80's. Today that is a paid position. She was such a valuable person to me and many more. I remember being at a reception when her first book was published and I know that you will have fond memories of her.

My sincere condolences to the Hallett family. Mrs. Hallett was a remarkable, extraordinarily industrious and generous lady, to whom Bermudian historians should be deeply grateful. Her work has facilitated research on Bermudian family and social history to a far greater extent than was possible before. I was fortunate to come to know her well in my years as government archivist and am glad to have had two delightful visits with her earlier this year. I am sorry I cannot be with you tomorrow, but you and she will be in my thoughts. I shall miss her.
