To the Smith and Paynter Families:

Our sincere and deepest condolences. May God in his Infinite love and mercy continue to bless and comfort you and yours during this difficult time.

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says,
"Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times,
the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived
while I was strong.
Continue my heritage,
I´m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely
the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease,
my soul is at rest.
Remembering all,
how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions,
no matter how small.
Go on with your life,
don´t worry about falls.
I miss you all dearly,
so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes
we´re together again."

God Bless. Love and Prayer

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." - Martin Luther King Jr.

To the family of Mr. Clarence Smith:

We are deeply saddened to hear about Clarence's passing. He was a truly remarkable man who brought joy to everyone around him with his infectious happiness. His dedication to the union and his role as a former president under the B.I.U. at Marine and Ports is a testament to his commitment and leadership. Clarence and Brother Herbie Bascome shared a close partnership, working tirelessly for the benefit of their colleagues.

Clarence's love for photography and his ability to connect with people meant that he got along with everyone he met. He was a trusted trustee and always looked out for his brothers and sisters in the B.I.U., generously giving his time and support whenever needed.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Clarence's presence and contributions will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May God bless you with strength and comfort, and may you find solace in the memories of the wonderful times shared with Clarence.

With sympathy and warm regards,
