Dear Juliette and the entire Smith family, I have just belated heard about Cubitt´s passing. Please except our deepest condolences. Our entire Sculley family were particularly close to Cubitt from the 1950s on when he first started to work in Tucker´s Town at the Mid Ocean Club. With his broad smile and natural warmth, he was everyone´s best friend particularly my younger brother David and our mother Margaret who had the honour of attending Cubitt´s wedding and many other family occasions. Cubitt taught David and me how to fish at night and dare I say drink beer. David and Cubitt were life long golfing partners. Cubitt was special and represented the best of Bermuda and will be missed by everyone he came in contact. We will greatly miss Cubitt but we have been rewarded with his friendship and memories.

Cubitt was a wonderful and loyal friend from the first time we met in 1962. He took me to my first county match, Cup Match, and got me full hot as well. He was a wonderful ambassador for Bermuda, showing visitors Bermuda in T1481 as only he could, with humour and insight. Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to you Aunt Jewel and the whole Family. Uncle Tussie will be a huge miss. I always enjoyed bumping into him in the community, full of jokes and always upbeat with that `Smith ` smile that all the children have.
My prayers are with you during this difficult time and thanks for all the memories during my childhood years.
