Extending our sincerest condolences to all of Cleve´s family. We have special memories of the many times we have spent in your home for Sunday dinners and various celebrations over the years. My favorite Dinner was Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. You mastered that meal along with your Apple Pie or Lemon Pie. You loved life and it was such a delight to be in your company when you shared your struggles in life, growing up with Uncle Shirley in Devonshire. You filled the room with laughter with your many jokes right there in your kitchen. A life well lived and one that has been so loved. Rest now in the Lord. Quincy sends his condolences to Aunt Cleve´s family from Baltimore, Maryland. God be with you all and be at peace.

I´m writing as one of the countless young single police officers who frequented The Spot Restaurant during the 1960´s and 1970´s where Cleo always took such good care of us. In many ways our lives revolved around the Spot, (my wife and I planned our wedding there!). Cleo not only set the highest standard for service, she always made us feel at home.

To Shirley, Woola, Zina, Jeanna and families. We would like to extend our sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother and grandmother. I remember my mother taking me to The Spot for lunch and to visit her friend Cleve. I knew her as the no nonsense lady who was also very friendly and kind. When she would make hot cross buns she would send some across the street to us. My grandson loved them so much that he wanted to know if it was okay to go over to ask her to show him how to make them, but of course she told him that she didn´t have a recipe but she could tell him so he wrote it down and he still makes them every Good Friday. I called them Ms. Davis hot cross bun but he told me no they are his. She was a very kind, thoughtful and considerate lady.

In so many ways the Spot was Cleo and Cleo was the Spot. One more reason for eating there and watching and listening to Cleo in action. A human dynamo and a wonderful person at heart. My condolences to family and friends on your loss. Hers was a life well lived and I am certain she will be remembered and missed by many.

We will miss our beloved HM Queen of Cousins: Cleave DelMeige Davis. We will always cherish our fond teen memories of visiting Cousin Cleave in Bermuda. Behold, encompassing awe and wonder as we visited her charming, funny, superior hospitality. At a drop of a hat, Cleave offered love, the open house policy, Sunday dinners up on the hill, ( she was the glue that kept our families together for decades, including family holidays and special occasions). Cleve's heart was full of generosity sparked by an unmatched energy. And when she visited us at my mama's in Queens, NY, the excitement and joy was always that of the red carpet.
As God moved my heart, I was honored to visit you four years ago. Nobody else mattered but to see you. God bless and see you in the Afterlife. Our family is waiting for you now.

To Jeanna and the entire family I extend heartfelt condolences from my family. Ms. Davis name is synonymous with Spot Restaurant, where she dedicated her life to excellent service. My sons and their families would look forward to going there and we would wait until she was able to serve us. She set a matchless standard. We spoke her name just 2 weeks ago as we recounted the article of her 100th birthday. She has gone from labor to reward . May you find peace and comfort in the beautiful family memories . Sincere condolences to your family and friends
I will always remember Ms. Davis. She was my absolute favourite waitress at the Spot. I walked in and my lunch was placed in front of me in a minute. During my first pregnancy I had my lunch at the Spot with my girlfriend Virginia; Chicken salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat with French fries and a vanilla milkshake. Ms Davis used to look at me, cut her eyes and my lunch was in front of me. I have many fond memories of her. She was a wonderful and active lady.
May you all celebrate your great memories of her. Rest In Peace Ms Davis.

Your Mom always held a special place in my heart. So often when returning home to Bermuda, she would often say does Shirley know you are here.
She was such a great lady in her profession. Shirley remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot Heal.
