Condolences to Clyde´s family. I knew Clyde since his days as bellman at Grotto Bay when I was running the bar in the caves. He truly deserved all praise for being an ambassador for Bermuda´s tourism.

Just saw this while having one of my occasional glances at the Royal Gazette. I remember Clyde from my time at Marshall's Maintenance back in the 1980's. He was our contact man at Grotto Bay and great to work with. Happy memories.

To the Family,
Wanda and I were shocked to hear of Clyde's passing. There is so much I could say about his service to his family and Bermuda but in this message I want to address Clyde's SOUL!
I considered him a friend who was the soul of Bermuda Tourism.
He worked as hard as anyone to protect and project the brand that is Bermuda. It did not matter whether it was day or night. I never saw Clyde Darrell give less than his best for our country.

I had the honour of working with Clyde, not directly, through my years at tthe Department of Tourism and later at travel industry events and with a group I brought to Grotto Bay and I offer my condolences to his family knowing that he was a good man, an honourable man and a great ambasador for Bermuda. He will be missed. "To live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind is not to die."

To the Darrell Family. I am so sorry to learn of Clyde's passing. It has been many years since we have seen each other but in the 70's and 80's we worked together closely. He was an excellent hotelier and remarkable with his guests, travel agents and, of course, staff. My condolences go to Clyde's family and friends.
To Clyde, rest in peace, you were a fabulous man and you won't be forgotten.

My condolences to the Darrell family! I worked with Clyde in the dining room of Grotto Bay Beach! He was a great Host and treated his staff with kindness and respect! A happy man with a big smile!
