sister Mavis. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Growing up, most of my shoes came from brother Conrad's store, he could always find something for my narrow flat feet. I also remember him hitting golf balls next to the pink house in Friswells Hill and I can remember him teaching the adult SS class at ELPC, also helping out at our annual picnics. He was constantly in motion. Praying God's love embrace you with comfort and peace at this time.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of my very dear friend. He has always been one to support and encourage me as I matured and I would make it one of my priorities to visit the store to speak to them whenever I was home. He was my Sunday School teacher at Evening Light and I will miss his wisdom and jokes.
May he rest in everlasting peace and my condolences to Mavis and the family.

I find myself giving into my feelings of great sorrow because an Eagle has fallen to his death. This beautiful black, soaring Eagle never forgot those below who were struggling to fly. I was one of the lucky birds who he scooped up.
Conrad was a force. Yet, I am reminded, "...the Lord looks at the heart" (1Samuel 16:7). As I reflect over my young adult years, Conrad takes center stage because he showered me with such
love, consideration, encouragement, hope, and faith. He believed that I was destined to be one of those soaring Eagles. He made sure that I had a summer job throughout my years of studying abroad. He and Mavis watched over me like I was their child. I am grateful that I have been blessed through a bonding relationship that endured life's separations. I am honored to have known such a man with a heart that pleased God. I know for sure that his legacy will live on. God bless and comfort now, Mavis, his faithful, loyal, beloved wife.

My sincere condolences to you Mrs. Henry and family. Praying for your comfort and strength during this difficult time. Working across the street when the shop was on Court Street I got my daily laugh from his jokes. He would alway bring a smile to my face especially if I tried to slip by without him seeing me and he would catch me every time, then I would get a double dose

Mrs. Mavis and family,
My deepest condolences on the passing of your husband. During my childhood, Conrad was a fixture in Court Street and provided all our `back-to-school´ shoes. He was compassionate and provided discounts to families in need to ensure that the children did not have to go without. I am grateful for his kindness. May he Rest In Peace and may his legacy have lasting impact.
