My daughter and I met Bert Bascome at Pompano Beach Club in June of 2001. What a kind, and gentle man, and hard worker. I got some great photos of him and was thinking about him today (he had a great smile and disposition). I’m so sorry for your loss. Carolyn Finelli 9/5/21.

I tried posting a photo. Peace & Goodness!

To The Bascome Family, Including The Reverends Hope Bascome and Miriam Dickenson, Especially Doctor Glenn Bascome: My sympathies to you and your entire family for the loss of your father and brother.. We will continue to hold you in our thoughts and our prayers.

Glenn, during one of our telephone conversations, you shared many precious thoughts about your father. It was clear to me that you loved, respected, and admired him. I was impressed. Please be encouraged.

God has blessed your family with longevity. This is not just a matter of gene pool or DNA. Those of us who are Christians know better. Rather, it is a matter of respect and honor that was, and is, given to parents and grand-parents. Obviously, it is a godly practice that has been going-on in your clan for many generations (Exodus 34: 6-7; Deuteronomy 5:8-10; Ephesians 6:1-3). Again, be encouraged.

May you be consoled with the peace and love of God as you pass through this period of grief.
