"Carp" was one of my hockey coaches at Eaglebrook and 8th grade dorm advisor. He was a great mentor in life and hockey. He deeply cared about all of us and I can to this day remember his kind smile and great sense of humor. He called me Gabby because I was quiet then. Little did he know I'd turn into a non-stop talking lawyer and really be a Gabby. He was a great man. A legend to those of us around him at Eaglebrook in the late 80s/early 90s.

"Carp" was a dorm master while I was at Eaglebrook School. There were no teacher/mentors I ever experienced in my boarding school career as engaged and interested in us kids as he was. I remember him fondly every day and that was 35 years ago. He was a very fine man.

Dan was a wonderful advisor and mentor to me at Eaglebrook. He always looked after the students and took a genuine interest in our wellbeing. Will never forget visiting his enchanted island on lake Temagami. Thank you for the wonderful memories Carpie. My sincere condolences to his family.

I treasure you, Danny. I think about you, Bill, your dad, who we called Leroy and who always had a kind word and a funny quip, and of course, your mother Jane every day. The number of young men you have influenced in your life is astonishing. Carp! Carp! Carp!
