DB - A fittingly simple nick name for a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He, birds, gardening, fishing, sports, a cold beer, but most of all he loved his family and often spoke of his deep gratitude of Marge who cared for him in his later years.
I cherished his company and am grateful for his friendship.
DB touched the lives of so many people and he will be missed by them all.

Both myself and my mom share very fond memories of Uncle Dave. I have no doubt he has joined the 'Police Mess' in the sky with a cold one waiting for him surrounded by my dad and the others gone before him. May you be comforted by the fond memories you hold dear to your heart.

Dear Marj, Andrew and Cathie,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on Dave´s passing. Rather than mourning Dave´s death, I prefer to remember in the warmest terms my very, very fond memories of the the time I had the honour and pleasure of working with him as a fine detective, but perhaps more important a real gentleman and great human being. There won´t be another one like you, DB! A REAL ONE OFF!

Grandpa,

You played such an important and lasting role in my life. You always made time for me and consistently went out of your way to guide me and ensure I was on the right path. You never hesitated to express how proud you were of Matthew and me, and I know you will continue to watch over us as we grow and achieve more.

I will deeply miss listening to the stories you shared, our summer barbecues, and spending time with you in the garden. I cherish the wisdom you passed down to me and will continue to carry and apply those life lessons as I grow, both personally and professionally.

I am especially grateful that you were able to meet your great-granddaughter before you passed. As she grows, she will learn just how wonderful her great-grandfather was. You lived an honest life and served your community with integrity. While I wish there was more we could have done for you, I take comfort in knowing that you left this world as a good man - one who will always be remembered with love and respect.

Forever in my heart,
Blake
