A graveside service celebrating the life of DELORES ANITA PROCTOR, daughter of the late Allan James Lonsdale Young and the late Elsie Berniece (Spring) Young; loving mother to Laverne, Gregory (Heidi), Wendell 'Gussa' (the late Angela) and Shane Proctor, and Joanne (the late Sinclair) Simons; sister to Dudley Young and the late Allan Eugene Young, Gwendolyn Taylor, Leroy 'Fungi' Young and Isabelle Smith in her 85th year of 'Summer Breeze', 30 Tribe Road 6, Sandys will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 11.00am at the St James Church Cemetery.THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING. She was cherished nana to Deandre, Jahmal (Lavina), Joshua (Mashundae), Marquis, Camika, Sekai, Jatia, David and Naomi and adopted nana to Denzelle, Shonyasha (Derrick) and Darnell; great nana to Jabari, Jelani, Rayne, Caio, Za-den and Dinero. She was special mother to Edward 'Evvy' Bean and Felicity 'Yvonne' Francis (Jarvis) and family; sister-in-law to Edwin 'Smokey' Richardson, Ishmael Israel (Laurence Richardson), Winston 'Vince' Roberts (Allison) and Gloria Roberts (Ralph); auntie to Belinda, Ashley, Karen, Colin 'The Mayor', Charleeta and Adrian and families; godmother to Cheryl (Goins) Watts, Andrea (Simmons) Smith, Estelle (Godfrey) Iris and Robin Woolridge. Her Young first cousins Audrey Tacklin, Lionel Young; caregivers granddaughter Deandre, Vernelle Symonds, Murray Cox and Michelle Smith and Spiritual carer Frances Spring; special friends Dennis and Oriel Butterfield, Roslyn Daniels, Delores Hubbard, Desmond and Vernette Hunt, Sandra Iris, Eileen Peterkin, Sheila Smith, lifelong friends from the neighbourhoods of Scott's Hill/Tracks and Spring Benny/Tribe Road 6, C & S West (Karen Bremar), the Cup Match & County Game Crew (Winifred Jones and Leola Wade…), the Cruise Crew, Kiwanis Club - Sandys Branch, and the St Michaels & St James Church families. There are other numerous cousins, nieces/nephews-in-law, friends and colleagues (the old Sonesta crew) that are too numerous to mention.Special thanks to Dr Mandisa Robinson, Dr Fiona Ross; Meals On Wheels, Terry and Leah Dean, Winston 'Vince' and Allison Roberts and Dr Edwin and Shirley Ann Smith. She was also pre-deceased by Leroy Proctor and James 'Jimmy' Davis fathers of the children; brothers-in-law Raymond Taylor, Donald 'Dorcas' Smith, Ashley, Allan and Clifford Roberts; sisters-in-law Toni (Zacchilli) Young and Edith (Roberts) Williams. She had a special relationship with her mother and father-in-laws Albertha and Cecil 'Tom' Richardson and Cyril and Eunice Roberts.
