Dear Pacheco family, but particularly to Steven, Mrs Dorothy Pacheco’s grandson
I didn’t know Mrs Pacheco, but I do know she was the matriarch of the family from my conversations with Steven.
Steven did the renovation on our family home some years ago, and Steven always chatted about his grandmother. I stewed some apples and plums for Mrs Pacheco as my Dad loved this and after giving this to Steven for Mrs Pacheco, Steven asked me how I did them as he wanted to continue doing them for his grandmother.
Some years later, I met Steven in Mile’s when he was having a coffee, and we caught up on all his news. He now had a family and he told me, when I enquired about his grandmother, that she was in Westmeath now and was happy and that he visited her nearly every day. A much loved lady and from the comments online, a wonderfully kind woman.
I send condolences to the Pacheco family and particularly to Steven. I know you will miss her terribly. Steven when I get back to Bermuda for a holiday, I will keep an eye out for you to give you a hug and give my my personal condolences.
A wonderful long life, well lived and loved by all.

Please accept our deepest condolences with the passing of Mrs. Pacheco. Living next to you and your mom and dad for so many years (moved in when I - Bruce - was 3!) you all very quickly became more than family and meant the world to my parents and the 2 of us. Condolences to all Mrs Pacheco´s family. She was a lovely caring woman and you´ve all always felt like family. I remember her and my granny as the best of friends. Until today I´ve never had biscoites as good as Mrs Pacheco and don´t think ever will. May she rest in peace
