DEVONISH SMALL Obituary

A Memorial and celebration of life and service for the late retired Police Sergeant 376 DEVONISH MITCHEL SMALL will be held at 4pm Friday, 10th October, 2025 at Christ Church Devonshire. Devonish of Devonshire, Bermuda and Providence, Barbados, passed away on 13th August, 2025, while visiting his family in Barbados. He was laid to rest there on 13th September, 2025. Devonish was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous friends and colleagues. Colors maybe worn "TD Jake's Style". There will be a reception immediately following the service at the Police Recreation Club, Prospect, Devonshire.Augustus Funeral Home and Cremation Servicewww.augustusfuneralhome.com

Smally,
I met you on our Police Training School Course #25 ! My other family away from home back then, as we spent so much time together, back in the day !
What stands out and I will always remember is that big infectious smile, always impeccably turned out in your uniform and those buffed shiny black shoes!
Smally not only looked smart but was smart academically too.
He had that sheepishly grin, quiet nature and was a great classmate and friend.

PS Small was my supervisor for a time when I was working out of St. George´s Police Station. He built a competent and cohesive team. It was a pleasure working under him and I learned a lot from him. I also learned that there was no such thing as "chucking" when cricket training with a tape ball (Smile). He will be forever missed...
