To Donald's Family:
Donald, was the kindest friend, loving thoughtful gentle and true! He never changed since the first day I met him so many years ago, at KEMH. His trademark smile was always, always present, saw it before he was even clear in sight. It brought a special kind of peace and calm to any room and any situation. He was a genuine ,sincere person and a caring gentle soul. May pleasant memories keep him ever present and Divine consolation propel you (his grieving family) to peace. Praying for strength and comfort for you at this very very sad time. Rest in Perfect Peace my friend!

When the sands of time blow softly, and sometimes, perhaps not so softly, we hold on to memories that keep the flames of friendship burning.
It is my memories of Donald Tucker to which I turn my thoughts today. During those young and tender years, when days were long and lazy, we lived in the same neighborhood on Ord Road and Cobb's Hill, spending what our parents thought were far too many hours playing “Kings Hole” riding bikes and building forts.
As with most young minds, of course, eventually we grew weary of the fascinating world of “King's Hole.” Then our attention would turn to other boyish pursuits. Not the least of which was our short-lived careers as the master builders of fortresses in the “woods” in the immediate area. These “woods” have now yielded to the call of construction and development, which changed the landscape of Ord Road and the Cobb's Hill area that we once knew.
As the master builders of the Ord Road area, I remember fondly as Trevor Simons, Jeffery and Craig Tucker, Keith & Kenneth Williams, myself and others whose names have escaped me now would build fortresses and fight battles.
Once the fortresses were built, wars were won and lost, our pedal bikes beckoned Donald, Craig, Jeffery, Tony and I. We ruined many lawns and caused heart palpitations in the neighbours that spent many arduous hours perfecting their perfect plot of greenery. We, of course, were completely oblivious to these facts as we envisioned ourselves as budding Evil Knievels and Six Million Dollar Men as we “scrambled” down Cobb's Hill and Billy Goat Hill.
As we matured, we realized that there was more to life than bikes, marbles and fortresses.
Sadly, I lost contact with Donald after migrating from Bermuda. However, I always kept up to date on his activities through family members and constant contact with his loving mother.
Even though many years had passed, when Donald and I met many years later as young adults, it was like just yesterday. Those years did not make a difference. I was so proud of the man my cousin had become and the compassion he had for animals.
We vacationed together and spoke regularly as the years progressed. I fondly remember a phone call from Donald during this past holiday season wherein Donald impeccably impersonated a female suitor seeking a date. After giving “her” all the reasons why I was too busy to meet, I had to bridle my tongue and ended the call as politely and diplomatically as possible. Much to my embarrassment, Donald then called back and we both had a good laugh at my expense.
Just three weeks ago, while he was visiting New Jersey, we planned on meeting for dinner. Regrettably, last minute changes resulted in us not meeting. Needless to say, in retrospect, I wish we had dined together and shared more time.
If I had to describe Donald, I would have to say that he was a gentle, passionate, caring, kind hearted, intelligent, and intuitive person who was well loved by those whose lives he touched.
Donald's death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but his love leaves a memory that no one can steal. Donald your humor, selflessness and smile will never be forgotten. It certainly was an honor and a pleasure to be a part of your life.
Love you forever cousin.

To the Tucker Family,
Our heartfelt condolenses to all of you. Stacey and I adored Donald. Everytime she went into ER she would look for Donald, momma wheres Donald? Donald would stop doing what he was doing and tend to my child, she was not even his patient, but Donald knew Stacey needed him and he was there, to give her needles, drips or to merely comfort her because someone else had to stick, prudge, and hurt her, :) Donald always knew what to say to ease her pain and to make her comfortable. Family rest assure God knows best, he needed Donald. Tucker family we send u this in loving memory of your wonderful son. We will love and miss his bright smile and his calm disposition. He will always be in our hearts. May God bless n keep you at this time. Peace be unto you.

Donald was a very special gem, he had such a kind and gentle spirit that seemed to make many feel so at ease whenever they was in his presence. Not only was he a cousin but after getting to know him more he became a good friend, someone I could count on to lift my spirits... As he would often say to me "Hang in there cuz, keep ur head up & don't give up" Mrs. Boorman, your son was an amazing person with such a graceful spirit. To the rest of the family you have my condolences. Gone but not forgotten. Let us not forget the joy he bought to our lives... And ofcourse that Big Handsome Smile that seemed to brighten many peoples day!!

To the Tucker Family and the KEMH Emergency Family.
John 14 says: Let not your heart be troubled...... But, WE ALL say: How could our hearts not be troubled? It will be very hard, but in time the pain would ease, but, Donald will never be forgotten. Be at ease knowing that Donad is now in the arms of the Lord. God saw the good work he was doing for and to the people of Bermuda and called him home.
I look up to the sky and I know he is looking down saying: YES, CAN I HELP YOU? This is something Donald always said to me (as a joke) from a conversation we had a few years ago and that joker never forgot it. He made me laugh about it everytime he saw me! I will miss him sitting out on his black Beverly outside of the department when my visits continue.
HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
Condolences from Noella, Tishauna and Shirlene Raynor.
