My family and I are blessed to have known Mrs. Corbin. I was privileged to know her as my music teacher at Central School and from my years growing up in St. Paul A.M.E. Church. My sister and I were reminiscing that we still remember the voice parts she taught us in Choir. When I would call her long-distance on the telephone, she would graciously inquire about the well-being of my family, and me. She was a gentle spirit, a caring person, a follower of Christ, God's hands and heart in action. My condolences go out to the entire family.

To Canty and the entire family,

As I am off island, I am unable to be with you to share in the celebration of life of your mother.

Mrs. Corbin is a person to whom I give credit for her role in my formative years. As a teacher at Central School, she allowed me to assist her in delivering instruction to her students, and by taking home and marking books for completed assignments to her students during the period after I had taken my scholarship exam and was waiting for time before being able to commence high school.

Mrs. Corbin was a God-send, a true angel who graced the earth and made a positive impression on all who encountered her.

It was a joy for me to host her on the Seniors' cruise just a few weeks ago, and to know that she was still able to enjoy the occasion.

I have no doubt that she is playing the organ, directing the angels in evensong.

May she rest in peace, and may her example of Godliness, righteousness, love and caring be the standard that we all strive to follow.

I was so sad to here of Mrs. Corbin's passing, to the family my deepest condolences. I have fond memories of her and the choir at St' Paul, but my best memory would be when I was in school in Boston i got this card with a beautiful painted blue bird and she said she was excited for me and may I make music like the blue bird, and also inside was fifty dollars, I was so humbled. Be encouraged, Mrs Corbin lived for Christ and now has gained.

A beautiful friendship between Mrs Corbin and our Mother, Mrs. Helene Paynter. Mom spoke very highly of Mrs. Corbin and would often send her a card just because. Psalm 91 vs 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

George and Canty,
I will always have very fond memories of your mother as the very elegant lady that she was. I will also remember her as the most thoughtful and caring neighbour; for the special bond she had with my late husband through the church; her many calls to our home, and for the sweetness and tenderness in her voice as she spoke our names; her unforgettable smile. I will always cherish these remembrances. She now rests in perfect peace. My sincere condolences.
