My deepest condolences go out to my Aunt Betty, Collette and Sandy, for the passing of Uncle Reggie.
He was a great man, that dedicated his life to the service of his community in St. George's and his family.
I have fond memories of getting haircuts at the shop, then later, as a young man, discussing many topics or the politics of the day.
He encouraged me to further my education abroad, to make a contribution to society and not to sit idly by.
Uncle Reggie will be sadly missed by all and may God comfort you and give you peace at this time.
Love, Eugene, Rosie, Jasmine and Layliana - Elkridge, MD, USA.

What a man!
Many of us who knew him had sat in his chair, which was something I always looked forward to in the days before locks, knowing that I would be regaled with stories, mostly humorous, sometimes tragic, always interesting. He knew everybody, and knew their stories, sometimes before they knew themselves. So forty-five minutes floated by all too quickly. He insisted that he didn't want to cheat the customer. I think he didn't want to let the customer go until he'd finished with him, and not just the hair. Regie was part guru, councilor, peacemaker, banker, political consultant; where he found time to cut hair only he could tell you. He had the lightest touch, he could almost comb your hair knots and all without you knowing. He had the same light touch when a customer needed spiritual uplifting or to be gently brought back down to earth. I'm sure he set many a young man onto a different path. And young men came, not just for haircuts, but to be told what they didn't know. He certainly earned his badges of honour.
Reg played a significant role in the big swing in St George's North from a non-Labour stronghold to a Labour stronghold for a while. Not many elections passed without his input - I can see him gently disputing that, which election passed without my input?!'
Reg was comfortable with a beer in one hand and when there were no paying customers, all might slip next door where there might well be a pot of soup on a winter's day. Reg carried himself with humility
Betty, Colette, Sandy, Gordon, thank you for giving us so much of his time. I cannot imagine the depth of your grief. Sincere condolences,
Delaey
