To the Family of Estger Bean: May you find peace and comfort in your numerous memories of her now and into the future. Esther was a wonderful, sweet, patient and gentle person. When we met at the Dept. of Education (Old Hospital), she was teaching hospitalized children at KEMH. I recall her commitment and drive to ensure that the children could stay at their year-level, as much as possible. Esther's bright, lovely smile and our chats will also remain in my memory. SIH, my friend and cousin.
Hugs,
Marie

Mrs. Bean was a cornerstone in my early education at The Central School. It was in her Standard III classroom that I discovered my love for mathematics-a passion that has shaped so much of my journey since. She had a unique ability to make learning come alive, whether it was through the gentle art of 'ear pulling' (a lesson in its own right!) or introducing us to the joys of Ludo.
I will never forget her quick thinking and bravery, alongside Ms. Milner, during the combined Standard III picnic at Admiralty House. Their prompt actions saved the life of a drowning student-a true testament to her dedication and vigilance.
Her reading of Simple Simon and the thrilling adventures of Simple Simon and his wife brought so much laughter and joy to our class. Those stories still echo in my memory, a reminder of the warmth and creativity she brought to her teaching.
To Mrs. Bean, I owe a debt of gratitude for the knowledge and discipline and she instilled in me. Thank you for your incredible contribution to my formative years and for leaving a lasting impact on all who were lucky enough to sit in your classroom. You will always be remembered with appreciation.

Rest in peace, Mrs. Bean.
