Frankie taught me to play golf at Port Royal when I lived in Bermuda in the mid-1980s - a genuinely nice man and very patient with his students.
To this day, whenever I manage to get out of a bunker, I always credit Frankie.

Just heard of your Dad;s passing.A true gentleman and great Golf Professional. I had the honor of playing with him when I won The Bermuda Good Will PRO. Championship. He was Mr. Golf to the visitors of Bermuda. My sincere sympathies.

First met Frankie when I walked into Ocean View Golf Club in 1974. I think it is the only golf club where I walked in as a visitor and left as a member some 2 hours later. His unfailing cheerfulness was his most memorable characteristic. Condolences to Katyna and Rawn. Katyna - you were my student at Bermuda College circa 1978. Long time ago.

I just learned of Frankie's passing and was shocked.I met him while playing bin the Bermuda Goodwill and had the honour of playing with him in the Professional Championship.He was a wonderful person .He will be missed.Frankie was MR.Golf Ambassador for Bermuda.

Frankie was a fixture in my early life, rehearsing regularly with my Dad, Lance Hayward, at our home. He was always kind, always laughing and friendly with that twinkle in his eye. I missed him when he made the break from the quartet to seek more stable employment. Although years sometimes passed before we re-encountered each other, he was always the same. A true gentleman. His perennial smile and gentle wit will be a sore miss for many. My deepest condolences to Rawn and all his family.

Our sincere condolences to all of Frankie's family. We had the pleasure of knowing Frankie for over 50 years and always found him to be the perfect gentleman and always had a smile on his face no matter what. Frankie gave me my first professional golf lessons at Ocean View many years ago and because of his instructions I managed to win the SPGC ladies Championship one year. I know he will be sorely missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him. RIP Frankie

Frankie was a wonderful human being. Always so cheerful, encouraging and truly an Ambassador for Bermuda and Golf.
His favorite quote to any tourist or guest visiting Port Royal was " Hi Champ ". I worked every summer and school break up to graduating college for Frankie.
He also paid for by 1 st semester as a Junior upon returning to University.
