GEORGE DESILVA Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of GEORGE CHARLES DESILVA, age 85, of Bedford, Nova Scotia and formerly of Bermuda. George was preceded in death by his parents George and Josephine DeSilva, sister Ruth Ruddock, brother Louis (Red) DeSilva, grandson Connor Coutts, aunt Amy Knight and uncle Charles Darrell. George was the beloved husband for 65 years of Sandra DeSilva, and loving father of Kerry DeSilva, George Carlos DeSilva (Dawn "Candy") and Nicole Arorash (Harry). His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren, Lauren Coutts (Trent Field), Steve Lawrence, Cory DeSilva, Mikaela Outerbridge and Ryan Outerbridge, his aunt Gertrude Rabain (Roger), his bonus grandchildren Adrian Jones (Mykiee) and Lyndsey Sanchez (Aaron), bonus great granddaughter Emma Jones and many relatives and friends who loved him dearly. A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held in Bermuda at a later date.

Dear Sandra, Kerry, Nicole & Carlos,
We were saddened to hear of George's passing. You have our most heartfelt condolences. Growing up, our families were very close. George was a great guy - a kind, personable gentleman. We pray that God will wrap His arms of comfort about each of you and give you peace. One day soon, Christ shall come and put an end to all tears, sorrow, pain and death!! What a glorious day that will be!!
