GEORGE ROSS MCPHEE

The family of George Ross McPhee, formerly of Montreal and Bermuda, is saddened to announce his passing on February 1st, 2010, following a lengthy illness. Ross will be lovingly remembered by his four children Heather, Steven, Nancy and Robin, and their mother Bobby Lea; his son-in-law Jonathan and his grandchildren James, Alexander, Hayley, Samantha, and Macy. Ross is also survived by his sister Patricia and her husband Russ, and many other relatives and friends, both in Bermuda and Canada. Ross was born in Screiber, Ontario in 1932, the son of Arthur Ross and Rowena (Drake) McPhee. He moved to Bermuda as a young man to pursue his Chartered Accounting designation, and afterward, returned to Canada with his bride to settle in Montreal and raise their family. In 1974, the family settled in Bermuda. For the past six years, Ross had been living in Toronto near his daughter. Ross was a proud man, an entrepreneur, a competitive golfer and a wonderful father. He gave generously of himself to his family and those close to him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A private family service will be held in Bermuda. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Children'''s Wish Foundation is appreciated.
