To the family and friends of Hattie sending sincere condolences to you all
from my home in U.K. I am related through the Curtis line of the family and knew quite a few of the family. God bless you all as you come to term of a person so loved. Dorothea nee Simons.

*For Aunt Hattie*
Before we knew your gentle, golden face and warm smile,
We heard your name spoken with quiet grace.
From the beautiful world of Bermuda's sun-kissed shores To Philadelphia's welcoming embrace, your name we came to know and hold dear.
Time allowed our souls to come together, side-by-side,
Sharing experiences of this world, near, far and wide.
Your laughter, purely distinctive, and uniquely your own,
A humble heart, full of unhidden love to show.
With every encounter, our souls came to know more of you.
You had an eye for fashion and seasonal trends,
Always seeking the best bargain delights of the season without end.
Fiery hairstyles with blends of crimson and gold,
A flair that was fearlessly energetic, vibrant and bold.
That southern-city twang, honey-sweet and sincere,
Your radiant smile, your eyeglasses perched just right with appeal.
A rare diamond uncovered, a soul with energy so free,
In your presence, we found grace and harmony,
You looked out for us with a heart so open and kind,
Bringing comfort and warmth for all to find.
Though you have transitioned peacefully from your loving son's arms,
Your love and memories remain as everlasting charms.
Those memories forever imprinted within our souls,
A lantern of steady light, that continuously glows.
Forever missed, forever our dear family and friend; in every laugh and memory, your light has no end.
Lovingly submitted by your great-niece, Carmilita

To the family of Hattie Curtis. I met Hattie when she was at Purvis Park and also know her from her niece Gloriette. She would not let me call her Ms. Curtis. Hattie she'd say to me, call me Hattie. I told her as long as my momma wasn't around. When my mother left Purvis Park, Ms. Curtis would ask how she was when we happen to see each other. I am truly sorry for your loss. You have my sincere condolences and prayers
