Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of HERMAN COOLRIDGE TROTT, beloved husband to the late Norma Trott (nee Bassett); son of the late Reginald Trott and mother the late Virginia Trott (nee King) in his 91st year of 21 Harlem Height's Road, Hamilton Parish. A private ceremony will be held on Friday, January 28th, 2022. There will be no interment. Relatives and friends may pay their last respects at Augustus Funeral Home, where a walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday January 27th, 2022 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm and again on Friday January 28th, 2022 from 1.00pm to 1.50pm. Those attending are asked to please adhere to the COVID-19 protocols. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Coolridge Bassett, Mitzy Richardson (Carlton), Valarie Trott (Elroy), Herman 'Butch' Smith (Cecily), Jeanette Trott (Peter), and Lucinda 'Susie' Pilgrim (Robert); special adopted son Oscar Samuels, grandchildren Tomika Talbot, LuCann Berkley (Vernal), Andre Berkley, Torri Trott (Dee), Rodney Trott, Tomasina Hassell, Deverio Hassell, Pamela Smith, Clarke Trott, Clarence Trott (Tanya), Sabrina (Kaleaf), Dennis Pilgrim and David Pilgrim; great-grandchildren Tomei Talbot, Seyamae Berkley, Jadore Darrell, Ajarie Darrell, Andrez Glasglow, Deonne Trott, Heaven King, Ethan Trott, Zhale Trott, Drue Trott, Tyrone Burgess, Diaje Frost, Delante, Lateef Trott, Squiella Trott, Surayya Trott-Cann, Clarence Jr 'CJ' Trott, and Danielle Allen; great-great-grandchild Cairo Talbot; brothers Alfred 'Freddy' Trott (Jean Ann) and David 'Dave' Trott (Debbie), brother-in-law Sydney DeSilva and William Bassett (Leonie); nephews, nieces and cousins too numerous to mention; godchild JahMarley Samuels; special friends Dexter Johnston, Anthony 'Toe' Dill, Al Saltus, Roger Francis, Lionel 'Baldy' Smith, Bronkie Minors, Wayzu Spencer, Sam Gibbons, Legay Gibbons, Randy Hollis, Harlem Heights Family and BELCO family. Herman was pre-deceased by son Clarence 'Bobby' Basset; brothers Edwin 'Rusty' Trott, Harry 'Dick Sick' Trott, Gladwin Trott, Gilbert Trott and Rodney Trott; sisters Betty Trott DeSilva and Pam Trott Tweed; uncles Alfred 'Fred' King and Archibald 'Archie' King; aunts Bertie King Cooper, Emily King Lowe, Catherine 'Cathy' King Hayward, Lucille 'Lucy' King Gibbons, Majorie 'Victorine' King Davis and Nellie King Astwood; parents-in-law William and Nora Bassett; brother-in-law Keith Tweed and Eugene Tucker; sister-in-law Iris Trott, Betty Trott, Irlyn Trott, Marian Trott, Lucinda Bassett, Ismay Scott, Dorothy Goater and Miriam Tucker. Covid-19 precautions are to be observed and are required to have a maximum limit of 20 person in the viewing chapel at any given time.
