My sincere condolences to all the family on the loss of such a real gentleman. I spent many hours in discussions with Jimmy -sports related, school related and socially. He was always so easy to talk to, very knowledgeable- and a great sense of humour. I am privileged to have known him

Jimmy deserved all of the compliments and sincere testimonials that his friends have left in their condolence messages. I knew him when we lived in St Georges. We played football together and we competed hard in sailing events and although I left over fifty years ago I managed to visit with him and Sandra during the Cup races a few years ago. May he be blessed and Rest In Peace.

I first met Jimmy and his wife at Warwick Camp, when my late husband, Colonel Michael L. Darling, was the Commanding Officer at that time in the early 1970s. What a lovely kind man he was, with the his broad smile. He was always the perfect gentleman. I believe that everyone who knew him will feel that way also. I am sending my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jimmy's family, Elaine M. Darling

Good day and huge condolences to the family of the late Jimmy Amos. So saddened to hear of his passing. A wonderful and a charismatic individual whom I'm honored to call my friend. Many years working with him when involved with the Bermuda Olympic Association. I'll miss his kind and loving spirit, always greeting you with a smile and at times would share a little joke. He's now gone to glory to be with his lovely bride..God's blessings as you all continue to heal.

Dear Richard, Cherie, Scott, Heidi and Families,

Your Mom and Dad were a fantastic couple, both so warm and friendly. As a child, I remember them from swimming club when they came to every practice and hosted parties at your house. Later in life, I saw them equally enthusiastic in their role as grandparents. They were an absolute delight to chat with and I know they always left me smiling. My condolences to you on the loss of your Dad. He was a treasure.

Dear Scott, Karen and Kelsey -
I extend my heartfelt condolences in the loss of your dad and grandad. What a wonderful gentleman he was. I so enjoyed working with him over the years through the Bermuda Olympic Association. His kindness and humility shone. He was always willing to help, and his smile was often mischievous, and always contagious! My life is richer for having had him in it. May you countless memories bring you peace and comfort at this time. It is said that
- a good life leaves behind seeds that keep on growing...and he lived a very good life and left behind many seeds that will definitely keep growing. May he rest in peace.

Dear Richard, Scott, Cherie & Heidi,
My condolences on the passing of your Dad. What a lovely man, as confirmed by the numerous online comments. Cheerful and always of good humour, particularly in our younger days, when 'retrieval from wherever, and whatever time' was necessary? Jimmy the dad, the husband, the sailor, the board director, the mentor and on the list goes, a lot of Jimmy's. As so aptly pointed out, he now goes to rest with his beloved Sandra. May God's grace be with you all in this time of bereavement.

This was a sad moment for me when l read of Mr Amos passing..If life lessons could be taught in a SMILE,he would have been the best teacher life had to offer...I first met Jimmy,(as he preferred to be called) at Bacardi International years ago and although l do not recall him ever fishing with those there that did fish,he was always around..He gave me my most treasured gift from the company which todate l still cherish...A GOLD BACARDI PEN..It was a pleasure knowing him and being around him when the opportunity presented itself..To his cherished children, take pride in knowing that your dad was one of the greatest people l ever met in my life...Loved and respected by so many from all walks....God Bless each of you as you relive the many memories with him...His shoes are very big to fill.....Sleep in peace Mr Amos...Jchristopher Simons
