I met my cousin James in person in June 2025 while on vacation in Bermuda after texting and speaking with him for a couple years. He joined us at a restaurant and he took over telling us all about Bermuda and his family.
Time was short so my sister Donna and I only had time to visit the matriach, the elegant Mrs Raynor and his lovely wife Antoinette.
How I wish we had more time to spend with him and meet the rest of the Tweed clan, but God knows best.
The entire family on our family chat miss his daily messages that were always filled with love and a sound message.

I am so sorry for your loss! When my sister, Julie, and I arrived in Bermuda, last summer and reached out to James, he immediately put everytadude and came to greet and meet us. James was warm, friendly and generous! He was a lifeline between the Tweeds of Bermuda and those of St. Kitts. He introduced us to his Auntie with whom we spent several hours viewing old photo albums and photos, learning of our connections. This was a priceless experience! Thank you, James! May you RIEP

Condolences to Tweed family. I Worked with Tweedie at PTB. He was such a cool,calm and collected guy. What I liked about him he always spoke his mind. Then laughed about it afterwards. I saw him on that Friday and we yelled out to each other like we normally do. Tweed your going to be a big miss, cause you always said Adams when you finishing up and now I´m finished up I can´t even tell you it´s all over now. Gone to Soon Tweedie SIHP my friend.

Cousin Jimmy! You are now home in glory with my mom your cousin Sharyl. I remember the first time meeting you, when I came to Bermuda. We got on the bus an my mom said that's your cousin Jimmy. I said hello. You said hey girl. I said to mommy, yup. Theirs those eyes & that smile. lol

To Jimmy´s wife,children, family and friends, you have my deepest condolences. I was shocked when I heard that Jimmy had died. I last saw him in November when I took my mother for a drive to St Georges. We chatted for a while about how my mother made the best potato salad and asked how my son Darren was doing. Jimmy was always the same, you heard him before you saw him and always had a big smile on his face. The last words that he said to me when I was leaving was " tell Darren I love him" May God comfort and give you strength as you go through this difficult journey. Hold on to the many memories you had with him. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. There will be a better after while.

This was an absolute shocker,especially seeing Jimmy almost every day near to where l keep my boat in Mullet Bay and hollering out at him...l will miss seeing him there and even passing him in the street....Jimmy was a great guy and a good friend except when he played for Devonshire Colts against Somerset Trojans...On those occasions,he was a kinda pain that you did not want to see playing against your team....To his entire family,l send sincere condolences and pray God will sustain each of you through this period of mourning and for years to come...May my buddy rest in peace....jcs

Antoinette, Jamika, Michellae, Makari please accept my deepest Condolances on the passing of your Husband and Father, James came into my life when just a little baby, James would acknowledge you were ever he was, he would stop traffic to speak and let you know he saw you, his big smile and bear hugs will be a miss, although through the years we didn´t see much of each other but he never forgot what we meant to each other.
Carolyn and Jack will be so surprise to see their baby boy United with them so soon; but God saw Jim´s suffering and made the decision that he needed to come home with Him.
Take comfort that God will take care of the family that Jim left behind and He will wipe away all tears from your eyes that will come at unforeseen times.
Hold on to the many memories good and bad because they will sustain you in the days ahead.
God´s blessing on you all and know my prayers are with you.

I am so upset, I just realized who Mr.Tweed was and ( bus driver) the BEST bus driver in the Island,so professional and kind and with a wonderful attitude towards all the passengers ,especially our tourists.

Going to miss you, my friend James.When I received the news of your passing, I was completely shocked and in disbelief. My heart was deeply saddened. You were a man who always tried to find good in everyone you met, always with a smile and a kind word.
I have known you for many years and remember when you first started playing for the Devonshire Colts Football Club-such a hardworking and dedicated player. There are so many memories, but one that stands out is when you had your first daughter, Jamikia. She was truly your pride and joy. You and Jeff would often bring your daughters to the games, and they became good friends.
The memories are many, but the one that will stay with me for as long as I live is the genuine care you had for people as a whole. I will miss our little chats and your uplifting spirit.
