Our sincere condolences to the Cook and Lightbourne family on the loss of Penny. As I reflect on Penny after knowing her for over fifty years, she was a carbon copy of her mother. Both inside and outside. Both displayed a quiet gentle spirit with love and care for those around them. It was always good to be around Penny as her smile and her laughter was infectious. Donte(Ed), Monique, George Sr.and Jr. and the entire family you have our sincerest condolences and may you retain the blessed hope and promise that one day we will be reunited with Penny on that resurrection day.

Be encouraged

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Penny Cook. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Penny was a kind and sweet soul. Whenever I think of her, I can still see her bright smile and hear her joyful laughter. She always dressed impeccably, coordinated from head to toe. What I appreciate most is how lovingly and compassionately she cared for my mother at Serenity Palms, just as she had promised. Rest in eternal peace, my friend.

George, Monique, George Jr., and the remaining Lightbourne family. You have our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your wife, mother, sibling, and friend.
We met and bonded with Penny, whom we discovered to be a unique gem, in the 1970s, at the KEMH SCHOOL OF NURSING.
Although our careers took us on different paths, we remained intertwined due to the nursing profession.
Throughout the decades, Penny never lost her knack for making you feel important . She greeted you with the warmest smile and laughter and would continue a conversation as if you had talked to each other yesterday, instead of months prior. She never failed to get an update about your children and grands whose names and accomplishments she never forgot. She was a genuine friend to many and was always ready to assist or guide others.
Penny will remain forever in our thoughts and hearts.
There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they leave us, it's glow remains.

To the Cook and Saltus families,

My family are praying for you, and asking God to give you a real sense of His presence and His peace as you walk through this time of sorrow. "Remember the Lord will give strength unto his people, the LORD will bless his people with his peace." (Psalm 29:11) We knew Cook when she was at Serenity Palms Nursing Home, North Shore Road, we admired how calm she remained when dealing with a difficult resident like my mother.

To my Cookie

My heart is shattered to hear of your mom´s passing. She was such a beautiful soul. I´m thankful that she let me become a friend. My sincerest condolences to you.

Ii wish that I could hold you in my arms. I´m here whenever you need me. I told your mom many years ago that I´ll always be there for you so when ever you need me I´ll be there. I´ll always remember her class and grace, her style and her beauty. I´ll miss our chance encounters at the grocery store enjoying our talks concerning you. We both laughed ( you know why) and spoke about your success. Thank you for bringing us together.
My heart reaches out to you as you navigate through life. Keep making Penny proud.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
To your dad and brother may they find God´s peace as well. Much love from your Hay and Bryan.
