Al, Dawn and Chester, I will miss Aunt Jan. I remember when she would visit for the afternoon or even stay the weekend with mine in the summer. When my mother was not well, Aunt Jan would volunteer to help with no questions asked. That´s a blessing I will never forget. I remember spending weekends at the house or visiting when I finished school in the afternoon.
If my brother was alive I am sure he would feel the same as I do. I am truly sad for your loss. To me Aunt Jan was dedicated, kind, humble and very caring. I will miss talking to her and the time we shared together.

Hey Ches... It tore into our hearts when we heard of mom's passing. We got used to seeing her & her girl's during their monthly hair appointments down in St. David's... & we're going to miss that gentle smile. I know how you adored your mother and cannot imagine the void in your heart. Ms. Ray was like a mentor to me and encouraged me in my younger years when we worked at The Royal Gazette. She was an amazingly kind person and I will never forget that about her. My memories of Aunt Jan was of her kindness and hospitality, especially on those lovely, balmy summer evenings in Bermuda sitting in her garden eating her delicious potatoe salad and seasoned rice washed down by her wonderful ice-tea. To Dawn & Family, I was shocked when I received the news of Ms Ray's passing. You have our sincere condolences. Dawn, I am so glad that we got to spend time with your Mom in Boston, MA recently, it was a time we will always cherish. I had hoped to see her again in Bermuda, but that will not be. I am totally shocked to hear of Jan's passing. To Chester, Al and Dawn. She was the best supervisor ever! When I worked at the Gazette years ago, Jan Ray was my supervisor, we always has a good giggle. She will be surely missed by her family and many friends. RIP my sweet sister.

My deep condolences to my friend Dawnie, Chester, Al and family.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Ray over the years, meeting her when I met Dawn when we were students over 38 years ago at Newbold College in England. Ms. Ray was such an easy going, person. She did not seem to let anything stress her at all. Easy does it. I watched her navigate, her mother Mrs. Paynter, making sure all was in order, taking care of her business with her immediate family without breaking a sweat. That calm sweet spirit will be missed. We the Ferguson family, Jimmy, J´Mae, Simeon, Seth and myself Shereen are praying for you all during this difficult time.
