To Sharon and family,
Jevon and I went through so many experiences together. Travelling to my home town DC, watching his love for pitbulls, cars, bikes and boats. Most of all just being silly and laughing. I remember when Jevon and I worked at Gorhams together and we went on a lunch break by the ocean and Jevon jumped in clothes and all and just replied "I just felt like taking a dip, di water looked too good". I loved his spirit, and I know that he is still around speaking to us in our dreams, and through subtle acts of kindness, we see in others.
That was my brother, and he helped me as I was getting used to being on a brand new Island for the first time. He accepted me even though I was not Bermudian. Whenever he spoke to me, he always put his hand on my shoulder and gave me eye contact. He handled himself like a true man. I respect him for that. We need more men like him in this world. None of us are perfect but constantly perfecting. I'm also happy that he found love again, he deserved it.

To Mr. and Mrs. Welch, and Jamie,
Many days have passed now, my friend is gone. So many memories, so many stories but not enough time to tell all. I remember his smile and how much he loved speed. I loved it just as much. Maybe that's why we were friends. Pack racing back in our teen age days was a thing. We both loved it. As we got older we talked about buying a boat. It never happened and time intervened. About a year or so went by and we didn't see each other. Then one day our paths connected once again. He told he has something he wants me to see. It was a boat. He wanted to know if what he was showing me was "bad". When I gave him the thumps up that smile of his lighted the night time sky. It was as if we were kids all over again and my friend was was sharing his brand new toy with me. So much fun we had on the water. He helped me enjoy the beauty of our country in a whole different way. Forever grateful I was to him.
Jevon got sick and needed a new kidney. With good fortune on his side, his mom blessed him once again and gave him one. Time passed and there new things to do. Once again different paths were placed upon us but this time we stayed in touch.
The last time I spoke with him, we talked about his new boat, his wife and our friendship. He invited over that night for some fish. As things are when you get older, plans don't always work out the way you want. I never made it for the fish, but my last words I had with him were, " no matter how much time passes, I 'll always have your back. We are family." His reply was " You know that for life". I told him to be and stay safe, one love and bless. I never saw or talked my friend again.
He is gone but never will be forgotten.

Jevon and I had so many great memories...too many to list. Jevon was so incredibly genuine as a person. I have never met someone who was so unaffraid to express exactly how he felt. I loved him for this. I loved his spirit and his subtle acts of kindness. My family and I send our love and support to you and your family.

Sharon, James, Laura and all members of Jevon's immediate and extended family ~ Our hearts hurt knowing your hearts are shattered. We are given solace knowing God is holding each of you in the palm of his hand during this difficult time. We are so proud and honored to have known this wonderful young man. He'd greet us with arms wide open, a big bright smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye. His good heart welcoming us back home. He'd proudly show us the latest litter of pups from his beautiful Shepherds. How we enjoyed visiting with him; the energy from his soul could light up the Island. It gave us pleasure to see Jevon lived and loved life. We will be eternally grateful he considered us friends. We will forever hold him in our memory and those memories will comfort us for a lifetime. We pray loving memories will give Jevon's family and friends comfort and peace as well.

It is with a heavy heart that I send these condolences. I worked with Jevon at Rosewood Bermuda as I'm sure there were many well wishes from Rosewood Bermuda (Formerly Rosewood Tuckers Point). Jevon always treated me with respect and was always polite and professional. I am so sorry to hear of his loss and wish him a peaceful eternal sleep! May the Lord Bless his family in this sad time!
