John Francis Flecker

John Francis Flecker, 61, formerly of Grant, passed away Wednesday in Decatur. Mr. Flecker served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a beloved brother, uncle and great- uncle. Mr. Flecker was employed for many years as a young counselor at Three Springs and at the time of his death was a psychiatric aide at Decatur General Hospital.

Mr. Flecker is survived by his sister, Margaret Darlene Ehinger of Huntsville; two brothers, Ralph Lee Flecker of Grant and Gary William Flecker of Huntsville; three nieces, Gabrielle Ehinger of Montgomery, Katherine Keener of Huntsville and Andrea Flecker Mason of Boaz; nephew, John Ehinger Jr. of Dallas, Texas; two grand nieces, Louisa Ehinger and Clara Keener; four grand nephews, John Davis Ehinger, William Keener, Michael Daniels and Henry Keener; one beloved god daughter.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Marshall Memorial Gardens with Father Tim Pfanders officiating. Valhalla Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Annunciation Catholic Church, St. Williams Catholic Church or St. Anne's Catholic Church.

I worked with John in the Mental Health field in Decatur and Huntsville. John kept people laughing, and he was a great employee. RIP John
