Jose Rebelo Memoriam
We regret to announce the death of Jose de Sousa Rebelo, beloved husband of Maria de Conceicao Rebelo of Smith's Parish, in his 84th year. A funeral service will be held at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, South Road, Smith's Parish TODAY Friday November 8, 2019 at 2pm. The Rosary will be said at the Church at 1.30pm.Interment will follow the service in Holy Calvary Cemetery, Roberts Avenue, Devonshire.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St Patrick's Church at 23 South Road, Smith's Parish FL 05.He is also survived by his sons: Joao (Tuere) and Joseph (Barbara); grandchildren: Nuno, Tiago and Madison; siblings: Elvira, Julio (Angelina), Laudalino (Ines), Joao (Isabel); brother-in-law: Joao (Conceicao); sister-in-law: Maria Jose; special friend: Julieta Bento, Tucker family, Plowman family, numerous nephews, nieces, other family and friends in Bermuda, Canada and the Azores. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law: Luis, brother Manuel, sister Lourdes, brother-in-law: Antonio. Our condolences to Mrs Rebelo and family at this very sad time. We both have very fond memories of Mr Rebelo. He was always guaranteed to make you laugh. He was a perfect gentleman, a welcoming face as you step into church, a loving and devoted husband and father and friend to many. He was Benfica for life and we will forgive him for being a Manchrster United fan. He was a great gardener who kept those gardens on the South Shore always meticulous. He was a man of faith. He will be forever remembered and loved and missed by family and friends.

I'm saddened to hear of Mr. Rebelo's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul. I will miss him coming to the house to prune our grapevine and having our little chats. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Dear Mrs. Rebelo and Family,
I am very deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Rebelo's passing. You have my sincerest condolences. He was a truly wonderful gentleman in the very true sense of the word. I am going to miss him very much indeed - a towering pillar of our church family. He was already at St. Patrick's every Sunday morning by the time I got there to play the organ around 8:15 ish or so for the 9:00 a.m. mass. EVERY Sunday. Without fail! For years! It has only been in the last little while that he has not been there due to illness.
It will be my privilege and honour to play the organ for the funeral mass of so wonderful a man!
My prayers and thoughts are with him and all of you during this most difficult time.
