I have to endorse all of what Raymond Ray as said in his letter to you regarding Kent.
For I have to say its been many years since I have now left Bermuda to come back to England after spending three years there working as a Baker and Confectioner in Hamilton. It was in 1975 when i first met Kent he started working with my brother and I for the Cafe Glac'e. All three of us made an instant bond, but I have to say that Kent took me under his wing for he knew it was my first time away from home.
He introduced me to his Sensei (Mr Ingram) and proceeded to spar and train under Kents supervision, I have to say that we became very good friends, but as the years went on we lost contact.
Thanks to my brother who is still living on the island as kept me posted on how Kent is doing, so i was very sadden to hear of Kents death, for as i sit here with tears in my eyes thinking about the time when he first walked into the bakery(as only Kent can!) and said 'Hello' in a stuffy stuck up English accent (taking the 'mickey' and making us all laugh.
I have just seen his photo on a web site to which I have saved and will frame, for that man was a BIG influence in my life and I owe him so much!!

My thoughts go out to the Simmons family. Bermuda was a better and happier place when he was in it. I will miss running into Sensi Kent on the street and catching up with him. I will always remember Sunday Iiado class with him and others.

I just wanna first of all say sincere condolences go out to the entire family. He was such a nice guy. I drive the bus he was always a very well mannered passenger every monday night he use to catch my bus he use to tell me bus driver if i go sleep wake me up when i get to my bus stop. It was nice to know kent.Rest in peace my friend.

my heart goes out to the whole family. Kent was and still is a shining light to me. He helped me in many ways and always made me smile with either the little spider monkey or cockerail bird. when i use to either work or live in St Georges he always found time to talk. the prayers, hugs and love from my family here in Blackburn UK comes to all of you. My condolences to Kent's family and friends. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Kent's passing, we have known each other since we were teens and a better friend or person would be hard to find. Although we only saw each other in recent years on my occasional trips to Bermuda, I will miss him and I feel fortunate to have known him. Kent, you will remain in my fondest memories, rest in peace.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Kent and my thoughts go out to his family. I knew Kent since I was a teenager - he was a very good friend of, and to, my sister, especially when she went through some difficult times. As we all know he was quite the character so carefree & loving one to truly have a good laugh & joke with, I can proudly say that Talia's Dad along with myself are & always have been very grateful & appreciative of how he took her under his wings to train & teach her into the humble competitor she is today in her chosen sport I believe she reached great heights in this sport with the help of his Support along with us her parents always edging her on to do her best & never give up.
