Sincere condolences to Sir John and all the family in their loss of Lady Swan 'Jackie' A truly amazing and kind woman. A special memory of mine is the first day she brought Nicholas and Amanda to swimming lessons ( i think they were both pretty little) where I worked as a teen. She was really down to earth and she told me 'you just do whatever you have to, they will be fine!' Still brings a smile in my heart when I recall that memory. much love and God bless you all xoxo Holly Barany (nee Darling) and family

Dear Sir John and Family

I wish to express my deepest condolences on the passing of Lady Jacqueline. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting her, just by reading this guest book I know that she was a wonderful person. Let her spirit and the memories provide you with courage and energy to support you in all the good things you do for Bermuda.

John, my deepest sympathies to both your good self, children and grands, over the passing of Jackie. As you well know, I used to often say to her, "that she was the only Swan whose advice and counsel on occasions, I would accept without challenge." Her passing is for me and the much wider community, a great loss, and that shy and retiring smile will be greatly missed. I can hardly imagine the depth of loss you feel over the passing of your partner, who was a quiet force and had unfathomable influence with her support in your personal development. Personally I have no doubt, that when the Scriptures were written, it contemplated a passage reserved for Jackie's future, and it is found in the book of John 14 verse 1.

May God continue to bless your family, and I have no doubt the legacy of her influence will continue to guide each of you into the future, until that promised occasion, when all who believe will be caught up together.

Sincerely,

Lew, Ave, & Alex Peniston

I will forever remember Aunt Jackie from the times of my childhood summers in Bermuda, as she stood in a regal pose, smiling at all of us from the porch at Aunt Maggie and Uncle John's home on Sundays as Melanie, Teddy II and I swam with Alison, Amanda, and Nicholas, along with Cliffy, Chester, Al, and Dawn. I remember thinking that Aunt Jackie was very elegant even when Uncle Johnny brought her home to first meet the family. It is very evident by all of the beautiful sentiments that she was beloved by Bermudians, as a First Lady! I so wish I could be with you, as our family mourns the passing of our loved one. Take comfort in knowing that we will all see one another again in Heaven some day! May God Bless and Keep You until then. With Love, From Your Cousin Terry aka Theresa Mignonne Daniels

Sir John and family, I looked on the Royal Gazette website and saw Lady Swan had passed away recently. Though I was greeted by yourself many times on the streets in Hamilton I met your lovely gracious wife only at a few events. She was a lovely woman and so pleasant and friendly to everyone she met. You have my deepest condolences in the loss of such a special woman, wife and mother. She is in heaven with the angels.

To Sir John and the entire family,

Your darling wife and mother was indeed an exemplary role model for me as a young woman coming into the work force. Her carriage, demeanour and dignity were all apparent and her friendship over the years deeply appreciated.

As she makes this transition from labour to reward, I pray that she will rest in peace, and that the life, love and laughter that you shared with her will continue to form the basis of the fond memories that you will be able to hold deep in your hearts.

She is gone, but will never be fortotten.

Condolences to the family of Lady Jacqueline A.D. Swan.

What an awe-inspiring and generous figure Lady Swan was, she was always supportive, helpful and gave back to the community in many ways. I will always remember the first time I met Lady Swan. On that day, I walked forward to greet her, but before I could speak, she called out my name. I was astonished, and amazed, that she had taken the time to learn who I was. It was during our first meeting, I learnt of the kind of individual Lady Swan truly was.

God Bless Sir John Swan and family during this difficult time.
