I am so sorry to hear about Lily Leonora Mello.
I was her pen pal from the United States since we were in grade school in the 1950's. We celebrated 50's years of writing to each other when I visited her and David in 2004. They in turn visited us in the USA shortly thereafter. Lily was truly an outstanding friend. My sincere condolences to her sons Brian and Kevin as well as her family and friends, some of whom I met when there.

Loving, caring person anyone could be around. She truly had the love of Christ in her heart always. She loved her family, and her church. She taught me lot of things, especially save my money. She gave me the nickname "Junie-bells". God be with you guys to carry her legacy.

My deepest condolences to the Mello family on the passing of Mrs. Mello. I went to school with Brian and I briefly worked with Mrs. Mello when I was a management trainee at the Bank of Bermuda. She was a lovely lady. Warm thoughts and prayers to Brian, Kevin and your families.
