Leslie Patterson Obituary

The family of the late Leslie Robert Patterson is saddened to announce his passing on November 29th 2012 in Santiago, Chile. Leslie was in his 73rd year, the son of the late Ralph and Mary Patterson. He is survived by his loving wife Monica, his daughter Denise and son Robert Anton. He was brother to John (deceased) (Ethel), Francis (June) and David (Jennifer). He is also survived by nephews Brian, Mark, Douglas, Jeffrey, Sean, Michael and niece Lisa and their families. Funeral services will be held in Chile. A memorial service is anticipated at a later date in Bermuda. In lieu of flowers friends may wish to make a donation to PALS, Bermuda in his memory.

Mary, Meghan, Katherine and I were all saddened to hear about your loss. When we lived in Sao Paulo, you and Les warmly welcomed us to the country. I enjoyed working with Les both in Sao Paulo and New York. He will be missed by all of us.

Dear Monica,

Derek joins me in sending you our love and deepest sympathy at the very sad news.
Leslie and I were both working in Hong Kong in our twenties where he was such a well respected young person throughout the entire business community . Later he went on to a most distinguished career in both Taiwan and Japan.
Throughout Asia he was a wonderful ambassador for
Bermuda. and he will be greatly missed by his many friends around the world.

Dear Monica

Kim and I were very saddened to hear of Leslie's passing while visiting China. Leslie was one of the champions of Bermuda business, an unsung hero who left Bermuda early in his career to become one of the leading figures in Pfizer, the leading Pharmaceutical company. I can remember talking about Leslie to a Pfizer official sometime back and they spoke in awe of Leslie and his accomplishments.

Bermuda should be proud of this son of the soil.
