So saddened to hear of Mrs. DeSilva's passing. I was one of her students at Port Royal 1975-80. She was a kind and patient teacher who I never will forget. RIP Mrs. DeSilva. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs Linda de Silva was much loved Auntie to my brother David and myself. She was a woman of strong Christian faith and a fun Auntie. We kept in touch throughout the year and treasured her vists to us in the UK. Our relationship with her has been an anchor in our lives all these years. It is a joy to read the tributes to her here.

We who remain have lost a faithful friend and servant of God who has heard her Saviour's blessing of "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
Mrs. Linda De Silva was an unassuming, kind, encouraging, extremely intelligent and competent woman of faith. She enjoyed living and contributing to the well-being and growth of her friends, her family, her students and her beloved church. All who knew her were impressed with her integrity, the quality and depth of her thinking and character, and her generous growing and sharing of the talents God gave her. She has heard the most satisfying words any of us could ever hope to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
The lyrics of the song "Find Us Faithful" come to mind as I imagine the welcome she received in Heaven. Go in peace, my friend. May we be faithful with the legacy you left us!

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends.
We were sad to hear of her passing but glad she is now with Mr. Desilva resting in peace.
We remember her well at Port Royal School, a wonderful, dedicated Teacher. A lovely lady dedicated to the Church and a quiet lady with a big heart. Her job here is done and she can now rest in peace. God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Robert, Mary, Melissa, Derek Lindo

I have known Mrs. DeSilva for many years and was blessed by her music ministry at the Evangelical Church of Bermuda. She was the choir director there for many years and sang solos with her beautiful soprano voice and filled in on the piano and organ when needed. It was a pleasure singing under her direction in the church choir.
She was truly a great Christian and her dedication to God's work in Bermuda was outstanding.
I will miss visiting with her when I visit Bermuda.

I first met Linda back in 1975 when I joined The Evangelical Church in Paget. I sang in the choir foe twelve years. Linda was the music director for quite some time. It was a wonderful experience and I always admired her talents and gifts. She had a small group gathering at her house which I was also involved. What a wonderful child of God !! Our loss but heaven“s gain. I have no doubt that her kind heart affected many people over the years. What a great hope we have in Jesus when we know Him as Lord and Saviour !! We will all be together again someday for eternity. Mike King.

My sincere condolences to the family. Mrs. DeSilva taught me at Port Royal when I was five until eight years old. I remember the class chanting our times tables. She was kind, thorough and efficient and I always remembered my time with her. Rest in peace.
