Regretably I never knew the lady but i believe she is a cousin of my mother Miss Elvia Gilkes (Wharton ) my mother .
Elvia is from St kitts but has lived in London in the UK since the early 1950's my mother was sent to Bermuda when she was a in her early teens to spend time with her cousins Lucille and Icen Patrick at Friseel Hill in Pembroke east.
My mother speaks very fondly of the time she spent there with them she was actually there for the best part of a year and had to attend high school.
My mother is in her early eigthies now and recently ask me to see if i could help her make contact with her cousins unfortunately it is to late but we would very much like to make contact with Icen Patrick and any siblings or children of Lucille and Icen.
My name is Alton Gilkes and I live in London in the UK

To Bro Eustace Jones:
We extend our condolences to you and the entire Jones and Patrick families.
While we are saddened to know of her passing, we also are comforted in knowing that she no longer suffers and is in the presence of her Lord. The Word states that "precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" therefore, her transition is a special event in Heaven. What a glorious thought.
Take comfort in the warm memories you have of her while she was with you and retain the joy of knowing that you will see her again. God bless you all.

To Aunt Elsie,Icen and Joanne, Aunt Cil was like a real Aunt to me.she and Uncle Eustace embraced me as one of their family members when I lived in Bermuda.Although I have been away from Bermuda 21 years,we would speak on the phone on a monthly basis. After her surgery, she wanted me to come and see her,and I was privileged to visit with them last Christmas and again in June this year.she was so happy to see me as we reminisced about the days when I lived there. She was a dynamic woman of God and a great example and mentor to many of the nurses who worked at KEMH from the caribbean Islands.I will miss her very much for her caring words, beautiful smile and motherly advice.Aunt Cil,I know you are with your heavenly Father and may you rest in peace.

To Mr. Eustace Jones and family, my deepest sympathies on your loss.

I remember Mrs. Jones as my very first teacher at her school on Parsons Road back in the early 60's. She did such a phenomenal job with me that when I went on to The Central School, they spent the first couple of weeks shuffling me around to find the right class for me, as I had tested so well. My love for her and her school was so great that I was even recruiting others, begging my mother to allow my brother, who was 2 years younger, to come to my school with me. I'm sure many of her other students feel the same way about Mrs. Jones, who always had a smile and a friendly word for me whenever we would meet.

May your memories of her comfort you at this time, and may she rest in peace.

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Lucille Jones:

I remember Mrs. Jones as one of my very first teachers at Prospect Primary School many years ago. She was known to me as Miss Patrick at the time. I will always remember her warm smile and her quiet demeanor which always seemed to display a caring attitude and a willingness to make a difference.

May God give you all strength during this very difficult time!
