I was sad to learn of Malcom´s passing. I know that Malcom had many challenges following a serious bike accident many years ago, however, prior to that I remember Malcom as a member of our Tornado catamaran fleet. Malcom & Campbell sailed together and he was always enthusiastic and a keen sailor. During many International regattas, the whole McBeath family were involved. Following his accident, he was determined to get back in the boat and he eventually did, with Campbell´s help along with several of his friends. I will always remember Malcoms infectious smile and his positive approach to life.
I extend my sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Deb, it is hard to imagine what you and your children are going through under these tragic circumstances. I was shocked when Jill called to tell me the news. It is difficult to lose people at any time but particularly when they are so young and apparently without any warning. My thoughts are with you, take care of yourself and your family. With love from Kerin in Canada

Hello All:
It is with genuine surprise and regret that I read of Malcolm´s death... From our days at Saltus, I always saw him as an intelligent, jovial person who enjoyed life and the adventures that came with it. I remember him as one who was not very good at cricket, but was not too phased by that. He could, on the other hand, throw a javelin quite the distance.
In later years, when we would meet on the street in Hamilton or in various social settings, he was always someone that one could catch up with very quickly in spite of the ensuing years.
While he had clearly gotten older like the rest of us, his youthful enthusiasm and positive vibe seemed always to be intact. I know that Malcolm will truly be remembered as an inspiration and a blessings to his family and the many, many friends and acquaintances who knew him.
Peace to all! TN

To the McBeath family - sincere condolences to you all from the Seagull Race community in Bermuda. Malcolm was an avid seagullian - and even if he couldn't race, he would always come down to watch and support the racers and take part in the comraderie. He was a character and he is definitely in my memory as part of the antics of the annual race.
Rest in peace.

TO Malcolm's family,
So sorry for your loss. As a former work colleague, I remember Malcolm when it was a joy to work at W&E and the staff interaction was one of a family. Anything going on always got full participation. Malcolm was one who did just that. A really cool guy!
His accident set him back a little, but he was always willing. May your happy memories and knowing that others care bring you some comfort. Rest easy Malcolm!

My sincere condolences to Deb, Campbell & Laura. Malcolm & I were at Saltus together. He was always a happy- go-lucky guy. During our university days, I went out to Western, to visit Bermudian friends living in Saugeen-Maitland. Malcolm introduced me to the the infectious rocksteady beat of Madness. Whenever I hear one of their classic songs, like "One Step Beyond", I instantly think of Malcolm, with a big grin on his face. May your happy memories of Malcolm ease the pain of his premature passing.
