We regret to announce the passing of Maria J. DeSilva, beloved wife of the late Jesse DeSilva, loving mother to Filomena DeSilva and Frank DeSilva, in her 87th year, of # 33 Devon Springs Unit 1, Devon Springs Road, Devonshire.The Graveside Memorial Service honouring her life will be held today, September 2nd, 2025 at St. Mark's Church Cemetery, South Road, Smiths at 11:00am.She leaves to cherish her memory her 4 grandchildren, 3 great grand children, 1 great great grandchild, dear friends Tina Perry and Fernanda Pacheco and was predeceased by her special sister-in-law Linda DeSilva.AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory

To Frank and family, I´m so sorry to read about your mother´s passing. I haven´t seen Mrs. DeSilva since I left Devon Springs. My interactions with her were always very pleasant. Mothers are so special, we never want them to leave us. I pray that God will give you the comfort of His peace to cope during this time of loss.

My condolences to Frank, Filomena and the family on the passing of Ms. Maria. She was such a lovely, kind and generous person who would share her stories and baked goods with my family and my especially my youngest son. I´m gutted that I was off island and was unable to attend the service. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement.

Filomena - Very sorry to read this sad news of losing your mother - may she rest in peace. I remember her well from Northlands Secondary days when I visited you at your home. Very nice lady.
