MARIA SOARES Obituary

It iis with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Soares on March 17, 2025, at the age of 80. Loving mother to Joey (Kaye) and Emily (Robert). Beloved grandmother to Mark (Heather) and Samantha, great-grandmother to Alistair, Milo, and Mischa, step grandmother (Dadinha) to Cheryl and Adam, and step great-grandmother (Dadinha) to Gloria, Gavin and Gracelyn. Survived by her sisters, Maria Rawlins and Maria Botehlo. She will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by Gary, Melanie, Mateo, Saniya, Chuckie (Maeisha) and kids and all her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Maria was a hardworking, loving, kind and generous woman with a great sense of humour. She worked at KPMG for 31 years. She loved golfing and spending time with her family and friends. There will be no visitation or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart Foundation or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.AMIS Memorial Chapel & Crematory

my sincere condolences of the passing of your mother , I known her all my life in Sao Miguel and Bermuda I remembered her in Faja de Cima when i was very young age than the sisters came to Bermuda .

Haven't seen her for years but Maria Rawlins more often .

Maria was wonderful person kind and loving . All these sisters were . I went to school with one them i'm
76 now had to be one around my age . But I came to Bermuda at 12
Maria used to tell me that's she was ill .

Condolence's to the family of Maria F. Soares, to Gary her godson you did all that you could for her while she was was living. To Joey and Kay you were the best that she could ask for as a son and daughter in law. As her friend and ex coworker she was a great friend, I traveled to Canada to see her and she was the best host to me in a country that was new to her. I have great memories of Maria at the office , the many lunches that we had with the other ladies. We celebrated you 80th birthday without you because you broke your arm the night before. We all came to celebrate you and now we must say good bye my friend. I'm glad I got to see you and I will not forget you. Sleep in Peace you work here is done.
