Days have passed since Uncle Mackie's loss and I miss him terribly. I have comfort in remembering precious moments together, the laughs we shared, the long talks and his warm smiles and hugs and our love for the beach. He will always be close to my heart and with me in spirit.
My loving gratitude to all our family in Bermuda who shared Uncle Mackie's journey with me and made my time with him truly special.
My love and prayers constantly go out to everyone during our time of grief.

I first met Max when a teenager taking he and his friends out fishing on Captain Rudy's ALRUJO...That began a lifetime of friendship with someone who although strict was a very caring person.I will miss calling his home and listening to his answering the phone saying 'Lovenest" and begging him for a piece of Madge's awesome cake..I met lots of great people thru Max and I think of the Bacardi Int family of yesterday...I will miss him dearly but God will only give us what we can bear...Rest in peace my friend.There will be a Great Getting Up Morning when Jesus Himself will call the sleeping..Family rest assured in this and lets prepare ourselves for this.God Bless you all at this time and in the times to come..

Dear Thelma, Richard, Pinky and Todd family,
We are greatly saddened to hear of cousin Mackie's passing and our sympathies are with all of you today as you celebrate his life.
I have both childhood and more recent memories of Mackie with a chuckle and smile always on his face and a humorous story or joke to brighten the day. His waggish good humor was certainly a gift to all who knew him and he will be missed. A bright light has passed from the world into another where he will continue to spread light and joy and where we can be sure he'll be greeted by his brothers, family, and friends.

I WILL MISS YOU MY DEAR MAX! I will never forget the summer you and Percy painted our roof and the many many times we stopped by your office on the way up to my dad's at Bacardi...it was the highlight of our trips to see him. So sad to hear about Max ... I have so many great memories of him since I was very young and I would visit my Dad at work -- and the first people I would always see were Lou and MAX! I know he is in a 'better place' but he will be missed!

May God's love embrace Uncle Mackie and he will forever remain in our hearts. He was always good to my kids and I whenever we came to visit Bermuda and his love and kindness will never be forgotten. We were very sorry to hear of Maxwell's passing and want to offer our sincerest condolences to you all.
We have been neighbors since I was born and we looked out for each other and we can reflect on those good times. Max was always the same and we will always remember his kindness and that smile.
