Nancy Murphie Obituary

With sadness we announce the passing of NANCY ELLEN MURPHIE, who died peacefully at home in her 90th year on December 19th, 2025. Nancy spent 76 years in Bermuda. Later in life, she made her home in Vermont. Preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Dorothy ("Dolly") Murphie; and her daughter Jane Goksel (Conyers). Survived by daughters Louise Conyers, Allison Conyers, Jennifer Conyers (Rick); and sons Michael Hind (Christine) and Peter Hind (Wendy); and her grandchildren Alicia Wanklyn, Leah Wanklyn, Jordan Wanklyn (Rosa), Henry Moyers (Zoe), Thomas Moyers (Maggie), Nancy Moyers, Coskun Goksel, Nina Hind, William Hind, Lexi Hind, and Zelin Keserel, as well as five great-grandchildren. Nancy will be cremated with a family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bermuda National Trust or VNA & Hospice of Vermont.

My sincere sympathy is extended to all of Nancy's loved ones.
I remember Nancy from BHS days. She was always a fun-loving person. The last time I saw her in Bermuda was when we had a 50 years reunion of our Class of 1953. All who were able to attend, including Nancy, had such a good time during a week of activities at that time.
Recently we had been in touch via Facebook and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the delightful pictures of Nancy with her darling little great grandson.
May her family and close friends be given the faith and strength they need at this sad time and may happy memories be a true comfort to you all.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Nancy many many years ago at ZBM. I was the youngest of the crew but she, Shirley Edness and Pat Ferguson all embraced me as one of the gang and we had a blast together. I have many memories and photos...Nancy will be missed.
