My deepest sympathy to the family of this wonderful lady. 'Aunt Nell' was what I called her in 1975 at 'Harrington Sound ' primary school when she used to come into our class to do crafts, knitting etc. what an amazing and kind person. I will always remember her fondly.

My condolences to the family of Aunt Nell as she was affectionately known by many.
I remember when she regularly volunteered her time and skill to teach crafts weekly for a number of years to upper primary school students at Harrington Sound and Paget Primary.
It was a pleasure to work alongside her.
Much love to her family and may she rest in everlasting peace.

So saddened to hear about the passing of Nell Johnston. I have such fond memories of her from childhood and she was such a generous soul and so full of light and kindness. I know her because she was friends with my Nana Myrtle and also was involved in the Girl guides. God bless her and love and prayers to her family.

So very sorry to read of the passing of Aunt Nell. She was truly a special person. Always so joyous, helpful and giving.
I always remember her telling me how everyday she plants something, takes a cutting or sows a seed, does something in the garden. She was an inspiration to me and why I try to do the same; everyday do something with nature.
Thank you for all your warmth and kindness you are much loved and missed.
