Bermuda has lost one of it's most precious Ambassadors. Paul was always at the center of everything current in Bermuda. I remember him,dearly back in the days of The Sharx,to Oasis and at every venue. He always had a smile and wonderful conversation.

Just heard about your passing from Kevin Horsfield ,when we met up briefly before he headed out to catch a flight home to Bermy.
Stunned. Fate saw fit to take you and spare me .Such is the cruel celestial roulette of chance .

Life and death : No rhyme no reason .No one can predict when it’s the end of the season.
I so FERVENTLY wish you could have had the gift of life ,that was serendipitously gifted to me by an anonymous cadaveric donor here in London after an uncertain spell on dialysis like you. I will forever be grateful to him for the renewed lease on life he made possible.
We travelled similar roads battling this ‘slow, sneaky, silent killer ‘ Genetics and biology can sometimes be cruel destinies my friend . But you knew that as well as I do .You fought the intrepid fight for as long as you could.. till Valhalla came calling

With deepest condolences to Jodi and Paul’s family. I was recently in Bermuda and was asking a friend about Paul and was so saddened to hear of his passing. I was lucky to have met him in the Rum Runner/Oasis days – he always remembered me, had a smile on his face and had something funny to say. He will truly be missed.

I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Sofianos family. I worked with Paul at the Oasis Night Club in the 1980's and I would say that Paul was definitely one of a kind, a true friend, may he Rest in Peace.

I worked with Paul at VSB for a number of years. He was a great guy. He had a fantastic spirit, kind, funny, bright with business savvy and drive. He made a significant contribution to the local entertainment scene - and I will surely miss him.

R.I.P Paul, I only met you once when I met Jodi for Happy hour. You were such a gentleman. It was great to see Jodi so HAPPY with someone who truly cared for her and I'm sure you felt the same vibe from her. R.I.P Gone too soon :(

I first met Paul on one of my trips to Bermuda in the mid 1980's. We were fast friends after that. He made me smile, he made me laugh, he made me dinner and took me sailing on a small boat. I have a million and one memories of him and all equally wonderful. I think of him everyday as his business card is on my desk reminding me that he is always there. And he is! May his family take comfort in knowing that his love and generosity stretched beyond that tiny island. Thank you for sharing him with the world!! With much love,

Paul truly changed my life and showed me how to love and how to be loved. He was always so excited to tell me of his many adventures, take me to places I had never been and he was so proud of his family. If there is such a thing as being addicted to someone, that was us. I love him so much and I miss his caring,selfless love for me.
When people would see Paul, they would say; "Paul, so nice to see you." And Paul would say; "well, it's so nice to be seen !"

Val, Arthur and Maria
Our thoughts are with you at this time. We were greatly saddened to hear of Paul's passing and we have many happy memories of him as a youngster and growing up into a fine young man. Maria, you always looked after your big brother and we know how sad you are today, but you know how much you meant to Paul.
Keith and Julie attended the service at the Cathedral today and told us what a wonderful event of remberance of Paul it was.

After living in Bermuda briefly in the mid 90's I was delighted to call Paul Sofianos a friend of mine. To this day, when I hear a Journey song on the radio I think of Paul belting it out with a smile.

We were very saddened to hear the news of Paul's passing and our deepest sympathy goes to his family. Paul was a very good friend of ours and we will truly miss him. I, myself met Paul when I met my husband 17 years ago and he has been a very good friend ever since. He was thoughtful, kind, caring and always had a way of making you laugh and smile. He had a wonderful spirit and was a joy to be around. When we would see him he would always stop to give a hug and kiss and ask how our families were. Paul has given us so many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever in our hearts. He fought long and hard and was a great inspiration to others. God bless your family and friends you left behind and may you rest in peace.

I knew Paul, only briefly, but he made an indelible impression on me,and, although his life was cut short, he lived it fully and was loved fully. I am sure he is in the afterlife with his dog, Ruby. And his a guardian angel to Jodi and her two girls.

I remember paul from being his massage therapist for a while.
His determination for life and keeping going always impressed me. He never complained about the blow he had been dealt with ..his spirit stood out as one who enjoyed the life he lived...

My thoughts and prayers have been with you throughout this week. Having known Paul as a tot, it was quite inspiring to see him grow into such a fine young man. Whenever I encountered Paul he had such a happy, pleasant attitude and was so friendly - one would never have known he was fighting such a grave illness. What a special person Paul was. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your precious son and brother. He will be missed by so many and I can assure you he will not be forgotten.

I was married to Paul in 1999 and remained close after our divorce in 2008. We shared 2 wonderful dogs, Ernie and Ruby Tuesday. Ruby is keeping him company and Ernie and I will keep each other company here. He was one of my best friends and I will miss him so much. Rest in peace and happiness my friend. i went to fryeburg academy with paul and was lucky to know him and call him my friend. we reconnected on facebook and we were able to ""catchup" he told me about all the wonderful things going on in his life and what he had done since high school. and how lucky he was to have met jodi.. his Boo!! i feel very sad for the loss of paul.. he was a wonderful person. my condolences to the sofianos family.. and also to jodi.. he will be missed by all who knew him

Paul was such a great person as both a friend and colleague. He was very much a part of the Canadian Classics rugby team over the years and participated as a host, DJ, spectator and supporter. We are all deeply saddened by his passing and will miss him a great deal.
