I was so sad to hear of Peter´s passing. He was a lovely, gentle man and I enjoyed our chats about my home town of Oldham and his familiarity with Failsworth in particular. He is missed at Wesley Methodist.
Sincere condolences to all his family.

Dear Peter´s family and friends, I have known Peter since coming to Bermuda in 1997, I´m also from Manchester so we had a connection straight away. I came to see Peter just before he passed to give him his last haircut, it was emotional, he knew it was the last time we would see each other, as he insisted on paying me, even though I said pay me next time I come.
I will miss Peter and our conversations, he was a wonderful and kind gentleman. Sleep in peace Peter

In addition to the loving family mentioned, there is also a personal and professional dimension which is a testament to peters full life. As a bright lad from fairly ordinary beginnings in Manchester, he gained a place at Manchester Grammer School and put himself through night school to qualify as an actuary, on a path which wasnt easy then (and almost impossible now). This took him and his family across the world, and to myself and my sister Stephanie, Uncle Peter was always fascinating with his tales of faraway places, but fun, funny and approachable. Those international postings included Jamaica, Bermuda and (more prosaically) North Wales. Unsurprisingly he loved Bermuda most, and settled to become surrounded by friends. He met important people but our fondest memories are of our two families sitting watching The Two Ronnies, and his generous laughter. I´m proud to be named after him, and his own father, and Steph and I will always be fond of him, the family, and what he achieved
