Death takes the body, God takes the soul, our minds holds the memories, our hearts keeps the love and our faith lets us know we will meet again.

Living downstairs of her home on Ord Road in my formative years, Aunt Twiggy was like my second mom. I will forever relish the time we spent together and the life lesson she taught me. Death may have taken Aunt Twiggy from us, but it can never take away the love and memories I have of her.

My sister and I will forever remember the time we spent together reminiscing during our visit last year. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

To my brothers Tyrone, Shane, Cavon, Trevor and Shawn my thoughts are prayers are with you in this time of grief.

Aunt Twiggy as she was affectionately known by me and my brothers was always there in my life.

My mother , Shurnett Caines did not make a distinction between any of our close friends or relatives as far as respect.

They were to be respected with the title of Aunt or Uncle, so , aunt Twiggy it was.

We would go visiting to many different friends and family members on our Sunday drives and Ord Road at Aunt Twiggy´s and uncle Sighs was one of those stops.

Aunt Twiggy was always so kind, jovial and warm and entertaining. This kindness and love continued over the years.

When Jimmy and I were married. Aunt Twiggy again opened up her home to us letting my then fiancé stay at her home in Hamilton Parish.

Aunt Twiggy treated us like one of her own always.

Aunt Twiggy will definitely be missed. Shawn, Trevor and family. Jimmy, J´Mae, Simeon, Seth and I will continue to keep you all in prayers during this most difficult time.

To all those who are lovingly survived by my dear "Aunty" Twiggy! Five things GOD wants you to remember in trying times .. You're NEVER, ever alone! .. Nothing takes Him by surprise.. When you're weak, HE'S STRONG.. He's the GOD of new beginnings... His love never gives up on us.
I find these words comforting and I hope you all will as well, as comforting as Aunty Twiggy's warm smile! I TRUST that GOD will strengthen and carry us through this difficult time in our lives as we mourn her! I leave you all with scripture, which all who know her truly understand her love for ... ISAIAH 46:4 NLT. "I will be your God throughout your lifetime... I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you." God bless you all. Sending our love across the oceans ...
