Margaret and Santos family, I pray that the Grace of GOD will be with you all, and I am deeply sorry that a good person has been taken away from the family and all who knew him directly, or through another family.
There are times I wonder why GOD would allow the life of a good person to cease to exist among us.But, I read in Isaiah 55:8-9, For my thoughts are not your thought,neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. GOD is all knowing.

I'm sorry to hear about Rick as I called him in High school. I use to enjoy watching Rick and his teammates run up and down the basket ball court. Boy were they good together. I send a prayer to our Heavenly Father to give the family Strength to move on to the next phase in life, Joy to know he's RIP and Peace knowing God is there for the rest of the families needs.

Suzanne,Laura and Jordon I am lost for words,you all have my heartfelt condolences. Suzanne I remember when I was in school in Rhode Island I met Rick thru by cousin Al Burney and also remember when you and Rick got together those where the days. He always knew from the moment he met you that you was the one. Cherish all the good moments you shared and reflect, he was a great guy that will be missed by many.He has left a great legacy behind here in Bermuda that will last a lifetime. To Suzanne, Jordan, Laura and the Santos family, my deepest condolences to you all. I was so shocked to hear of Ricks passing. I just saw him the other day and as always when we meet I get a hug and see his kind smile. I can hear him now Hi Ang as he would say. Suzanne you Rick and I and the crew we had some real fun back in the day. Like Donna said those BBQ's we always found a reason for Rick to BBQ and just sit and relax. Sue and Family my heart goes out to you he was like a brother to me also such a real nice guy. He will be missed. Just went through my June 2010 pictures of my visit to Bermuda with Cynthia & Henrietta. Meeting you and Richard were definitely the highlight of the trip. You both were so kind & welcoming. My condolences to the Santos family & friends. I opened up the newspaper yesterday and was shocked to see that Rick had passed. I fondly remember Rick working on the Naval Base in St. David's and him teaching my boys basketball he was and excellent coach. He will be truly missed!

My heart goes out to the Santos family. Mr. Santos and I worked together at Residential Treatment and he was so a great person to be around. He was always trying to do things for others and always put others first. He will be sorely missed by all who head the pleasure of knowing him. RIP Rick!

My family and I send our heartfelt condolences to your family on the sudden passing of Ritchie Santos, my cousin. I and my family were so shocked to hear about the untimely passing of my cousin, Ritchie. Ritchie was a great cousin and they don't come no finer than him. He was known in the basketball world as "Ritchie Santos" who played basketball for R.I. Junior College N/K/A CCRI, and then played for Providence College (#30)as MVP, with former colleague Marvin Barnes. He loved Basketball and that was a big part of his life, that truly was shown as he spent time teaching youngsters the sport in the afterschool programs while he resided in Bermuda. He will never be forgotten. May the Lord shower his peace and love over his family and give them the strength to go forward in their time of need. Suzanne, our prayers are with you and the family.

Earth has lost a wonderful kind man and Heaven has gained another angel, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Santos at the Paget Primary after soon program which my nephew Anthony Simmons attends, he took to Mr. Santos right away and looked up to him, he was very sad when he hear of the passing of Mr. Santos. My children adored him and I thank him for teaching them the love of basketball. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Santos during his time at the After School Program at Port Royal Primary. He will be greatly missed. My son went home and cried when he found out the news. Mr. Santos was such a lovely man and he always encouraged my son. Mr. Santos was always keen on letting me know when my son had an exceptional day. To Bermuda Family: We are all in this together...we are family brought together with patches of love interwoven forever by our youngest brother, Richie. We thank you Suzanne and family for showering Rick with love all these many, many years that he resided in Bermuda and a special thanks to Pat for providing him with the love of a second mother. We love and appreciate everything that all of you did to make Bermuda Rick's home, away from home. He loved you all as well as the Island.
