Roberta and I lived in the same neighborhood for years. We later moved apart and didn´t see each other for quite some time, but when we did it was always as if it was just yesteryear.
Diane, Vaughan, Ianthia and the entire family, I pray God´s comfort and peace during your time of loss.

Vaughan, to lose a sibling is very difficult, so many shared memories are tucked into the years. Roberta and I shared the same classroom at Whitney. Her passing has brought many of those memories back.My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. May Allah be pleased with the life Roberta lived.

Donald, I am so sorry to hear about my good and great friend Roberta! I always visited when I came back home and was so blessed to see you both! So blessed to visit her last summer! I have lovely memories of our times together at Spanish Point Park. Meeting her for lunch from South Shore to Front St. and many other places. Sitting on the porch at K Hill catching up with pineapple soda and snacks! Waving on my way 'up d heel'! Picking out furniture for the bedroom with you! Shopping! Helping you move round the corner into a bigger apt overlooking Evening Light! Just sitting and enjoying the view! I couldn't make it back this year, told Mel to check you.. for me! Berta my sister/friend I love you and will see you again! Rest easy in the 'Arms of Jesus until we all see you again'! Love and hugs Donald my brother! Prayers!

My family's sincere condolences on cousin Berta's passing. Although it has been years since I last saw her, I can still remember our last encounter on Berkeley Hill. Her enthusiastic "hey cousin" greeting, the broad smiles as we caught up on family news, and her impish humor as we shared some scandal or the other. I feel sadness that our meetings grew so far apart, only partially due to distance, and will happen no more.
May you rest in peace, Berta.
Sending warm hugs and the comforting reminder that she rests in the arms of the Savior now.
